Young Living

Young Living is not available to purchase in stores, I’ve asked my sweet friend Katie Garrett to give y’all some more information on the diffuser featured in the #girlboss Valentines Day post.

Katie is a my friend in real life (we attend the same bible study). She’s a smart, fun-filled mama, and a kick-a oil lady! If you want to purchase Young Living, she’s the right girl for you!

Meet Katie:

Hi! I’m Katie and I’m here on firstSnugglethenHustle to tell you all about Young Living!

One of my favorite diffusers is Young Living’s Desert Mist diffuser. It has a white Moroccan trellis style with a copper toned base and top. It has the option to diffuse without any lights on, or you can choose from eleven different light settings, and (my fav) a candle-like flicker mode. It has three settings to run on, 5-6 hours on high mode, 8 hours on low mode, or 10 hours on intermittent mode. It functions as a diffuser, humidifier, and atomizer, so triple threat (or bonuses because ya know, it’s a good thing!).

All of the Young Living diffusers come in the Premium Starter Kit with twelve oils, or when you buy just the Desert Mist Diffuser, it includes free 5mL bottles of Tangerine and Peppermint. Honestly, the Starter Kit is the way to go because it’s worth over $400 of product for $165. AND, it includes some of my absolute favorite oils for all the things, but especially relaxation and energizing blends.

When you need a good pick-me-up, whether that’s in the morning before you’ve had your cup (or three) of coffee, or to put some pep in your step during the afternoon slump (or witching hour around our house in the evening… mamas feel me on this one), one of my favorites is Citrus Fresh. It smells so clean and is an automatic mood boost. It’s just so uplifting. I also love to combine 2-3 drops each of lavender + peppermint + lemon. This is our seasonal blend when our bodies need a little extra support after playing outside, but it smells so good! I love to put this combo in the diffuser in the morning to help wake the girls up and get our day moving.

Relaxing and emotional support oils are my absolute favorite. I love Peace & Calming. A couple of drops in the diffuser before bedtime and during the night helps everyone to sleep well. I also like to put a drop of the bottom of each of my feet before bed to really help encourage a restful sleep. Another favorite is Stress Away, the name says it all. It’s like a little vacation in a bottle. It has vanilla in it, which is unique compared to other oil blends, and smells so good. I like to diffuse it, or rub a little bit on my wrists and neck like perfume when I baby wear our littlest. Let’s just say she takes really good naps in the wrap when I do. ;) I also love Valor! It’s nicknamed “liquid courage” and is amazing at supporting your body when you feel meek or timid. This is my husband’s favorite on the base of his neck while driving in traffic. We also love it when our toddler is working through big or overwhelming emotions, right on the bottom of her feet with a little bit of olive or coconut oil. And good ole’ lavender. This one is the most altered smell in the fragrance world, so true lavender may smell less sweet to you, but oh does it work wonders. I love to put a few drops in my baths with some Epsom salts, and even put a drop or two in our girls’ baths each night to help wind them down for the evening. I love it diffused at bedtime, especially lavender + cedarwood.
